  • What air compressor servicing and maintenance solutions do we offer at Aircare?
  • No matter the compressor, our team of highly skilled, qualified engineers offer genuine 24-hour service all year round!

We always recommend regular maintenance and servicing of your compressed air equipment, no matter the size or application. Regular maintenance and servicing is beneficial for the following reasons:

  • To ensure equipment longevity and performance: Effective servicing and maintenance is essential to preserve the condition, efficiency and performance of every component and mechanism within your compressed air set-up. This way, faults can be fixed before they cause more damage, and you can get more out of your investment.
  • To prevent costly breakdowns and downtime: Did you know that most unexpected breakdowns and downtimes are often due to neglect of basic routine servicing and maintenance? By ensuring your equipment is correctly looked after, you can drastically reduce the wasted efficiency, energy, and unnecessary costs caused by downtime!
  • To maximise the safety of your operations: Equipment breakdowns and faulty operation can have drastic impacts on your operations. From product spoilage and waste due to contaminated air, to health and safety risks imposed by unsafe equipment, maintenance and servicing are essential to ensure a secure working environment!

Our Service Team

Our Team of experienced Service Engineers are manufacturer-trained and well-equipped to service and repair equipment from a range of manufacturers including CompAir, HPC, Atlas Copco, Boge, Elgi and many others. Service Care Plans

At Aircare, we provide award-winning Service Care Plans tailored to your system, budget and priorities that allow us to partner with you for your regular servicing and maintenance of your equipment. But how do we achieve this? Well, the first port of call is understanding a bit about you, your industry and applications, your equipment demands, and anything else that would help us prescribe the perfect Service Care Plan to keep you operating at your best! In particular, we understand and discuss in-depth with our clients that a smooth, reliable operation with effective preventative maintenance is the way to go and is less expensive than loss of production and paying to repair a breakdown! With this in mind, our primary intention is to provide a proactive, cost-efficient solution that is well-suited to your production needs and ensures optimal performance and productivity!

Since 1991, our engineers have helped a large range of clients from sectors such as the medical, manufacturing, education, engineering, aerospace, pharmaceutical, facilities management, and food and beverage industries. We work with an extensive range of brands, including CompAir, Belliss & Morcom, Elmo Rietschle, Reavell and Bambi, to name a few, and know all models inside out!

Aircare’s team is highly experienced and skilled in servicing and maintaining all models and types of compressed air and vacuum equipment, including oil-free, oil-lubricated, variable speed, nitrogen generation, and compressor controller technologies. They also all carry a current CompAir service and Warranty passport, among other qualifications.

PPM/Servicing FAQs:

How often should I service my compressor?
Regular servicing is vital to ensuring efficiency, productivity, and reliability. To ensure optimal performance, compressors should typically be serviced annually or every 2,000 operating hours!

Why is replacing your oil filter important?
Many applications depend on a continuous flow of high-quality compressed air, so ensuring your oil filter is working at its best is crucial. This also helps to reduce energy costs by making sure it is continuously operating at optimal efficiency. Usually your compressor filter should be changed every 6 to 12 months.

How often should I change my compressor oil?
Typically, mineral-based oil should be changed every 4000 hours in line with planned maintenance, but synthetic compressor oils may actually last twice as long. However, certain factors, including operating conditions and compressor usage, may impact oil intervals.

What sort of oil should I use in my compressor?
This completely depends on your exact application and compressed air set-up, but typically, the ideal solution is one recommended or supplied by the supplier of your compressor.

When does a pressure vessel test need to be carried out?
The Ordinance on Industrial Safety and Health (BetrSichV) specifies that a visual inspection should be performed every five years and a pressure test every 10.

Why should I only use OEM genuine parts?
OEM genuine parts are generally the best choice for compressor maintenance and servicing. This is because they are designed to be 100% compatible with the other components in your air compressor. However, we know this may not always be preferable or possible and we will always consult with our customers first to ensure the best solution for them!

What is the typical lifetime of an air compressor? Can this be extended?
Operating hours and usage is the typical tell here, making an exact figure difficult to quantify. The easiest way to extend the lifecycle of any system is to ensure every element is working at its best, whether that is by updating, modifying or correctly maintaining all components.

Is there a way of monitoring my compressor that alerts me of service & maintenance needs?
At Aircare, we offer iConn, CompAir’s innovative 24/7 proactive monitoring system that enables optimised alerts and insights that inform you of any inefficiencies or issues. This is useful where immediate servicing is required or to suggest any preventative maintenance that may be needed either at the time or in the future.

From design and installation to system maintenance and monitoring, Aircare offers the complete compressed air package!
