Oil Lubricated Air Compressors

With Expert Rotary Screw Technology

  • What are oil-lubricated air compressors?
  • How does rotary screw technology work?
  • What oil-lubricated air compressors do we offer at Aircare?

At Aircare, as proud CompAir distributors, we offer their expert L-Series, a range of fixed-speed and regulated-speed oil-lubricated rotary screw compressors. Equipped with the very latest technological advancements, these systems offer unmatched efficiency and a continuous supply of high-quality compressed air. CompAir’s regulated speed compressors are renowned for their ability to efficiently and reliably handle the varying air demand found in most industries and air systems and can achieve energy savings of up to 25%.

Oil-lubricated systems usually boast a lower initial investment when compared to oil-free alternatives, and the lubricating properties of the oil used can actually extend the lifespan of your compressor’s internal components. This makes them an economical, efficient, high-performance option for a range of industrial applications!

Due to the presence of oil in the system, slight oil contamination can occur in air delivery, but due to the small amount, it often doesn’t hinder air quality. Air treatment equipment, such as dryers and filters, can be installed to prevent any oil content in your compressed air!

All models from 15 kW can be equipped with integral heat recovery, to help you re-purpose the heat made by your compressor, saving you money and cutting energy usage!
Take A Closer Look At The Range

How Does Rotary Screw Technology Work?

Rotary screw air compressors can be oil-free or oil-lubricated and are positive displacement systems. Positive displacement means the air compressor reduces the volume of its compression chamber to compress air before transferring it into a storage container for future use. Rotary screw compressors have two screws inside their motor that are moving continuously in opposite directions. This motor reduces the volume of the compression chamber by creating a vacuum to suck in air and trap it between the screws before transferring it to a storage tank. Unlike reciprocating or piston compressors, rotary screw systems have no mechanical forces or valves, which allows them to operate at higher speeds and flow rates, meaning they are able to deliver a continuous, uninterrupted stream of compressed air.
